It's dead and gone, the userbase kept hammering it with activity to the point where it was using 300 gigs of bandwith in a week.

Also, I don't want to necropost, but I would like to pint one thing about the reincarnation system: it is stated that the magical fragments can only be acquired through online battles after the main story. I think this is flawed, because you can still get the fragments from the wild encounters. I need to double check that.

You can get magical fragments from encounters, yes. That's where most of them will probably come from; it's not uncommon to end the game with 255 of them.
