English skills/items/abilities

Hello.
I was wondering if there is any way to get at least the Skills, Abilities and some items translated to english.
I know there is an english patch in the making, and I saw the wiki have most of the above translated, I was wondering if there is any way to get these in my game right now.

hopefully it'll be somewhat soon-ish..my friend cant play it in japanese cuz the text is all messed up and she cant play (cant even see the money she have)

That cannot be fixed by the English translation patch, unfortunately. You'll need to run the game in native Japanese locale for that.

not even applocale will fix that?

Applocale will not work, and if it does work it's very very very infrequently. Those of us on the server can basically confirm App Locale has a less than 10% chance of working.

AppLocale has been deprecated since Windows Vista. The best way to fix the issue is to change your system locale to Japanese.

This process is completely harmless to your computer! It can be reversed at any time!

All you have to do is complete the same steps but select English (United States).

After changing the locale to Japanese your forward slash (\) may turn into a yen symbol and some installers may be in Japanese. This is normal. Everything else will still display in English.

If you don't want to have to change your system locale, there is also a tool called Locale Emulator. I've been using it, and it works just fine. I should note that I use Win7 x64. It will only work on systems running Win7 or later, though.

on a side not can I release or rename puppets? ;~:

You can release Puppets by talking to Hina, who's in a house that you can reach from one of the extra exits in the first cave of Youkai Mountain (the one you went through when going up to the Moriya Shrine for the first time).

You can rename Puppets by talking to Remilia in her room at the SDM, once you defeat her.

There's no real reason to release Puppets though, since the game gives you so much PC space.
