hello im new here btw

People say that Touhoumon Purple is one of the best 2hu ROM hacks. I really tried getting into it, but the one thing that upsets me is how you can't evolve a fully-evolved Puppet with a Shard. You can only evolve Chibis.

I know that 1.8 Enchaced didn't have that issue, so why? Do I have an outdated version?

1.8 Enhanced is coded so that you can evolve into other forms at will by using the right shards.  Purple isn't; you evolve your Chibi into your form of choice, and you're done.  Simple as that.

I like to believe the reason for this is because in Fire Red (I.E., 1.8 Enhanced), you can't get National Pokedex evolutions until you get the National Pokedex in the post game, whereas Emerald has no such restriction.  But that's just my personal, unresearched theory on the matter.

I mean, seriously. The item's description reads "When held, skills that wouldn't hit due to type immunity will now work."
Can I be explained why despite this, my Sukuna still miss her Fight moves against Nether puppets?

I just made the bitter discovery after using Transcend Form against a Merupo Merlin. Needless to say, my poor Sukuna commited a brilliant suicide instead of the usual overkill.
And I'm pretty sure that I haven't missed due to the attack's accuracy, as I boosted her accuracy (+Fo.Atk, with Concentrate Stance) beforehand.

I haven't played TPDP, but considering it takes a lot of things from Pokemon, I'm going to assume that the Cursed Doll works just like the Ring Target does in Pokemon games: the holder of the item no longer has whatever immunities their typing would have granted them, as opposed to the opponent losing their immunities.

Each of us takes turns drafting puppets until we all have 12. You can't draft a puppet someone else has drafted, so everyone winds up with a different group of puppets. Once we've done that, we begin a round-robin tourney where everyone battles each other using only the puppets that they drafted. You're encouraged to bring a different team each time, tailored to dismantling the 12 puppets the other person can bring.

Does that make sense?

Yeah, it does; thanks. :)  Unfortunately, my laptop really doesn't like charging lately, and the battery life isn't that great either, so I think I'm gonna have to pass (plus, I'm not that good anyway).  Hopefully I'll have a better computer if you do this again, though.

If CSatori was level 20 or higher, then they could use my personal strategy and have it could trace Own Tempo, allowing it to not be affected by Teeter Dance while firing of Mirror Shots.

Of course, this is Twitch Plays Pokemon, so there's no way that would have happened. :(

I know that when the games first started, Puppet Play was ahead by one text box during Oak's speech.  Besides that, any other desync is probably a result from wiping out, or something.

Unfortunately, I never got to the Battle Tower in Puppet Play, but I'm pretty sure in Fire Red, the trainer tower is accessible as soon as you get to it.

...Not really much better than Shanks' answer, unfortunately, but his guess sounds good to me is what I'm saying.

Just defeated Falkner.  A couple more bugs that I found along the way:

A bit rare from my experience, but on route 30, I also experienced the music not starting up again after exiting a battle, with a wild... CSunnymilk, IIRC, and then again (twice) against CNazrins.  Was using the speed up mode every time, and it doesn't seem to happen when it's off (although I forget if I was using speed up when fighting the CSunnymilk).  Music started again when I went back to Cherrygrove.  Also, all 3 occurences happened somewhat closely in succession, and then never happened again.

The animation for both Defense Curl, Harden, and Growth (I believe, was playing with speed up every time that move was used) are a bit glitched.  Pic:

All 3 of the moves I listed have their animation shown on the top left corner of the screen, regardless of if it's the user or the opponent who preforms the move.

In regards to difficulty, Falkner was a nice challenge, even though I was at higher levels than him, and I didn't have to use any items.  For the record, my team after fighting Falkner was COrange, CKisume, and CReisen, all at level 19.  The only time I really "grinded" was when I was trying to replicate the music glitch, but that couldn't have added up to more than 1 level for one puppet.  Also, how do you activate Challenge Mode for gym leader fights?  Would have liked to have fought Falkner with that on, especially since I was 3-4 levels higher than him, but oh well.

Well, that fixed the withdraw item and Normal Orb description, but cReisen's ability and moves are still cut off (although not as bad as before, at least with Round Eyes).

Cool, thanks (for both the response in general, and notifying me where my screenshots are; not the biggest PC gamer). :)  And yes, the link works correctly now.  I'm not familiar with Essentials in the slightest, so sorry if I suggest something that's hard to do.
