Cool (Contest condition)

The Cool condition (Japanese: かっこよさ Coolness), is one of the five different Contest conditions.

Characteristics

A Puppet will have its Cool condition raised when fed Pokéblocks made with spicy-tasting, red-colored Berries. Puppets with Natures that boost Attack—Lonely, Brave, Adamant, and Naughty—get the most benefit from Berries that have a spicy flavor, as a result, they are the easiest to raise for a Coolness Contest.

When competing in the Cool category, a Pokémon with an enhanced Coolness will score higher in the primary judging of a Puppet Contest. This can also be assisted with the use of the Red Scarf.

During a Coolness Contest, the audience will react as follows:

Attack performed Audience reaction
Cool Attack Excitement
Beauty Attack Indifference
Cute Attack Discontent
Smart Attack Discontent
Tough Attack Indifference

Awards

At the end of a Coolness Contest, the winning Puppet will receive a Contest Ribbon. Additionally, Puppets that win the Master Rank will have their picture painted.
