Rapid Spin inflicts damage. As long as Rapid Spin successfully causes damage on the target, it will free the user from the partial trapping attacks Wrap, Fire Spin, and Whirlpool; remove Leech Seed; and remove all layers of Spikes.

Twister is a similar move, but fails against Earth types and Puppets with Volt Absorb.

Rapid Spin can also be used as part of a Puppet Contest combination with itself, earning the user gaining extra two appeal points with each successive turn.
