If successful, this attack will instantly KO the target. Fails if the user's level is below the target's level, is a Flying type, or has the ability [[Levitate]]. Accuracy increases by 1% for each level higher the user is than the opponent, and ignores all other accuracy and evasion modifiers.

[edit] Effect

Fissure, if successfully hits, will instantly knock out the target. Fissure will break a substitute if it hits. Accuracy for Fissure is determined by the following formula: Acc = ( ( user_level - target_level ) + 30 ) * 100%. The move ignores accuracy and evasion modifiers.

Fissure can affect Puppets during the semi-invulnerable turn of Dig.

When used on a Puppet with either the Ability Sturdy or Levitate, a Flying-type Puppet, or a Puppet of a higher level than the user, the attack will always fail.

Fissure can also be used as part of a Puppet Contest combination, with the user gaining extra two appeal points if the attack Earthquake was used in the prior turn.
