Assuming those puppet stats would be nerfed to be on-par with their other forms, we kinda already have an attack youmu in her regular form. DToyohime would be interesting though. possibly with an AYorihime on top of that? I dunno what their stats would be, though. I'm pretty sure they'd still have their water/earth and steel/faith typing, though.

from what I know, AYoumu with guts is only for lunarians. very exclusive club.
I've been pinning for gengetsu to be re-typed to dark/dream for a while now, why not theorymon her up!

Bulky-yet-fast special attacker, pretty much. kinda like HEirin but with the weakness on the opposite side of the spectrum. only problem is that you'd be relying on accuracy luck a lot since your main STAB moves would be hyper beam and energy ball. (dark pulse isn't strong enough and I highly doubt she'd get hyper voice)

If she did exist, then she probably would get Hyper Voice. Most Dream special attackers get that as their main special Dream STAB, even if they're not a voice-related character; either that or they don't get STAB for Dream at all.

Same thing with Binding Voice being used by special Beast attackers who'd have no reason to learn it otherwise.



And hey, what's so bad about vanilla Gengetsu? Steel moves/types are as obvious as Nature against TToyo, so you can use her on purpose to lure them out and pivot from there - she gets Reflect for that, too. And when something doesn't have Steel moves, she can work as a pretty damn fast bulky mon (if not the fastest mon with actual bulk any bigger than 80~100s).

Not that 80~100s aren't usable for some fast defensive mons, like vanilla Aya, but that's not the point.

Toyohime as a special wall works because Nature is her only weakness and it's not that common. Gengetsu's shortcoming is being x4 weak to a type that is absolutely everywhere on physical attackers and is weak to Heart, Faith, Ice and Wind on top of that.

TToyo isn't a pivot, she's a bulky attacker (unless you know they have a Nature). They work differently.
