TPDP Complete Database
« on: February 27, 2015, 02:51:27 AM »
This is something I made recently so that I could quickly sort through and look up information and I figured other people might enjoy having it.

Personally I have the file as an excel file and then pull the data together in a query linking the PuppetCode, Ability, and Skill Name columns of the tables to make a larger table that I can look at using pivot tables. Probably not useful for anyone that doesn't know how to do that but for anyone that does and is interested it might be nice to have.

Some things I would like to add is Puppet Locations and items/item locations if anyone has the information for either of those.

Also this database was made primarily from information off the wiki which might be outdated or some of the other information I was using might be outdated or mistranslated (likely some puppet names etc). Or the weaknesses/resistances of stuff might be slightly off based on ability or something. If you see something that is incorrect I can fix it.

Bit late, but if you still don't have them, I have all (or almost all) of the Puppet locations along with some rough estimates of encounter rates. If you tell me where to put them I could just type them into the Google spreadsheet myself.

That would be awesome Eifie I made the google docs page so that anyone can edit it and made a new tab for Puppet Locations so you can just put in the stuff there or you can post it on here and I can format and throw them in myself.
Also the Puppet Code thing I have been using is just the name of the puppet + the first letter of the style so Normal Reimu would be ReimuN which just makes it easier to search for things, and you don't need to worry about any missing information just getting what you got would be amazing.

Also been playing the partial translation patch and noticed that there are a lot of inconsistencies between the wiki and the translation patch in game (example Moonbow in the game vs Lunar Arrow on wiki). I figured I will wait for the full translation is out before I go and fix all those errors to make sure it all stays consistent.

So if puppet locations are taken care of or at least largely taken care of the only other thing would be getting in items and item locations but I am not sure exactly how I want to deal with that right now as that would mean it would need a different  line for every place that it can be found in order for look ups to catch them.

Also I have considered starting up and finishing that comprehensive map guide thing that was mentioned in an earlier post. (basically I'm trying to get all the information about the game compiled so that if people have questions they don't have to go searching everywhere to see if someone knows they can just look up what they needed to know).

Also another idea I had is to possibly add a Pokemon Equivalent tab to the skill and ability list so that if someone wanted to find a move or ability similar to something in pokemon which they might know better they could just look up that and get matches for the TPDP versions of those moves/abilities.
