General Metagame / OU/Standard Threatlist WIP [Open for editing]

Theres a back-up of this but I'd still appreciate if no one kills the formatting.

Text Only No Explanations List

Ok due to the slowly growing community of shoddy I'd say a threat list is almost needed as a semi replacement for standard suspects. This is pretty much my attempt to remove as much personal bias as possible before doing real work because I'm bad at objective.

Anyways due to the insane amount of viable mons the goal was to narrow it down to top 50 attack/Def top 20 support without overlapping. Before I actually go and finish this thing off (Props to Shai for doing all the real work so far) heres the big list.

If you feel anything has been missed, missplaced, or over rated feel free to list what and the reasons why.

Should be easier for Shanks or Someone to put together a speed tier list now

I might just do it if shoddy2 doesn't come back up soon though zzzzzz

Movesets / Re: Speed Yamame

Great thread!
I was thinking in posting a WIP for Speed Yamame's because I noticed that even after seeing the Puppet in a couple of teams no one had posted anything about her yet, but I'm glad you beat me to it because I would have missed several things like the Choice set, the coverage provided by Steel Fist and the Speed calculations.

To contribute to the thread, I think you could include these moves in Other Options:
Needle Arm: Effective against Earth Puppets that threat S Yamame with Earth attacks, and with S Yamame's high Speed you can take advantage of the random flinch chance.
Cross Poison: Pretty much swap with Poison Jab for -15 base Power (after STAB) but higher critical hit chance if you are feeling lucky. Still, Poison Jab is more reliable.

Glad you like the sets (I spend way to much time on the Speed shaving/creeping on most sets I make lol)

On the note of Needle arm:

Stab EQ = 150 base power
Super effective Needle arm = 150 base power

T-Toyo

thats pretty much the only reason you want Needle Arm.

Shoddy Touhoumon Info/Discussion / Re: Touhoumon Damage Calc

Uh, quick question... does it use the Gen V damage formula? (as seen in the credits, at least)
If so, wouldn't it actually require changing it to the Gen III one instead?

EDIT: also, small nitpicking on the Item section: Choice Band -> Choice Ribbon.
Putting the boosted type for each type-boosting item between brackets (as done in Shoddy) might be helpful, too, if you wouldn't mind.

I don't feel comfortable touching how the end-damage calculates and from comparing with the marriland calc there hasn't been any variations outside of explode/self-destruct

Not changing Choice Band -> Choice Ribbon because there are 2 "Choice Bands" and they fill the fill the role of Choice Band only. Which is significant if you're new because Specs/Scarf doesn't exist. And if you're not new, You already know both of those items equate to Choice Band.

bother doesnt to alter that code if you want, I'm not touching it, might add type boosted things in brackets though.

Movesets / Re: [WIP]Nue
« on: August 22, 2013, 07:30:52 PM »
but yeah, Nue is probably not the best SD user ever, after all. The only SD set I can see consistently differentiating itself from things like Tailwind AReimu is the Disable + SD one, and even then, it does rely a lot on prediction and surprise.

I don't see whats so "relying on prediction and surprise" about switching in to a Reasoner that she outspeeds, disabling the move they just used and SDing on your free turn.

I mean on counterplay [after they first see it] They make you pick between disable or swords dance, which is still nice odds to me.

Also I'm pretty sure regular Nue doesn't get substitute? [at least its not listed on wiki]

Anyways, don't remove the set, but if its not Nue's optimal set you can tack it down

I'm going to just say the ability to come on DKaguya/Non-Helper Star Sapphires and either kill them or potentially get a free SD [You can't expect switch every-time, because they can carry Mana Burst] is extremely awesome too.

along with the after-mentioned Yorihime which is a stop to Nue [like Youki, cept can die from SelfDestruct], Chiyuri is a check to Nue, Being able to Survive +1 Brave Birds/Poison Jabs/Gunk Shots and Paralyze or Outright Kill with Luster Purge [Mana Burst will have a chance to OHKO at full SpA investment, but Luster Purge will have a 1/3 chance to OHKO even with no SpA investment (100% OHKO at 116 EVs)]

Movesets / Re: [WIP]Nue
« on: August 22, 2013, 01:39:54 AM »
Disable is pretty feasible on Nue off that beastly 130 Speed

Due to this + her resistance list, she probably appreciates Encore users too.

After something dies to Drawn Line/Braver, Mana Burst/Luster Purge, Thunderbolt, Ice Beam you can lock out their Nue-killing move and SD Up

Also her bulk is good enough to survive priority at full health [Flying typing means you don't fear spikes damage either]
its Pretty similar to Dark Alice Bulk.

252+ Atk Choice Band Youki Blade Flash vs. 4 HP / 0 Def Nue: 180-212 (55.9 - 65.83%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
252+ Atk Choice Band AdCirno Ice Shard vs. 4 HP / 0 Def Nue: 254-300 (78.88 - 93.16%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
252+ Atk Choice Band AdLetty Ice Shard vs. 4 HP / 0 Def Nue: 236-282 (73.29 - 87.57%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
252+ Atk Choice Band Momiji Blade Flash vs. 4 HP / 0 Def Nue: 260-308 (80.74 - 95.65%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
252+ Atk Choice Band Yorihime Blade Flash vs. 4 HP / 0 Def Nue: 236-282 (73.29 - 87.57%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

Of course, she can't touch any of these guys anyways with her STAB combination but its worth a mention [then again it'll be rare that she'll be sitting at full health with brave bird... no soar to fall back on either]

Does anything even run Gale? [Wiki says Gale is Flying type, is this a typo?]

She sits on a pretty comfortable speed tier though, After a Swords Dance, She'll only need to be switched out immediately vs Youki and Advent Marisa [and Mimi-chan if she's not sitting at full-health which is likely if she's running Brave Bird, Gothic Wearing Mimi will still kill 1/4 of the time and Nue will still be betting on Mimi not exploding though]

She is gambling on Speed tie vs Speed Marisa, Advent Reisen and Speed Yorihime [The last of which you do not want to stay in on AT ALL Speed form or not, both can take a +2 Brave Bird and kill you no problem]

I can't stop you from trying I guess

go for it?

My Focus is on Dark Alice right now because NEW TECHNOLOGY but I'll take all of this in mind.

gotta find a new core to retreat into as fairy atm

but yes that table example you listed is what I had in mind. [I could have sworn someone else in here had an analysis with something like that]

like

Stat Base Min- Min Max Max+

as the header

trimming and re-hosting images elsewhere would be marginal at best

I doubt re-ordering the text would help much either.
