Go back to Rinnouske's shop and get the bike, I believe head back to the village and you can go south now without the man stopping you.

Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Ah, I see. I figured that's what the second two were, but I didn't want to mess anything up. Thanks.

Edit: Okay, I downloaded the second file to update to 1.10, but it's not doing anything. I unzipped it with 7-Zip and I've had my system locale set to Japanese since I downloaded the game, so that shouldn't be a problem. When I run the application a window with two bars pops up (I tried to attach a screenshot, but it wouldn't let me for some reason) but it doesn't do anything. What am I doing wrong?

The updates work only on a certain folder, the game installs in the game folder and makes a Focuslens folder for the game. As far as I know you can't change where the update looks, so most likely you will have to save your save file and reinstall it to it's default location.

So I'm on the route to the bamboo forest and just fought Sejia and she used a move which caused me to run away, I know Koakuma has a move like this later. Any tips on how to get around this?

It was enlightening. I just want get some translated parts for my game.

Trust me it's best to wait, just helped someone who can't even tell what level his puppets are because of a partial patch. Plus I find it a good way to learn what some Kana or Kanji mean when playing.

Umm... couldn't a sprite maker just alter the images in the .dat files and make custom sprites? Just a guess.

Yeah they could, but for the average person they would have no idea what to do or have the talent in making custom sprites. So being able to change your waifu puppets look is just over all good. Especially since it's free so I have no right to complain.

Ah yes, the second in the line of the "Enjoy April Fool's Day" videos. It was almost as tragic as the first one being an amazing looking Valkyrie Profile-based RPG.

The hilarious part about them though - As of now, both of these April Fools videos have doujin game counterparts. You really can't underestimate the Touhou fandom.

Developers are jerks when it comes to April fools, they'll put in so much effort and make something that looks great.... but it's not real. Like that one artist that makes a lot of Cirno games that aren't games.

Either way I'm excited to get costumes for my puppets!

EDIT: Well looks like it was an april fools joke, but you can still see elements of this joke used in PDP.
I was on the focus lens website earlier today about a Yukari image in PDP files that is actually part of a old game they made.
It looks like 東方 幻想紫創伝  is an earlier attempt at making a Pokemon x Touhou fangame, which also has the same battle system as PDP.

This should help see the similarities. Also notice how the Aya can change clothes? I'm going to guess that's how it's gonna work in PDP as well.

Apparently Hemogurobin a1c (The games artist for those who don't know.) has in his Pixiv account a contest of sorts? Not fully sure what all is being said, but we do see a alternate Kyouko color and her punk outfit too.

That's how much space each frame is given I assume?
The "big" variants look like the same thing but all the white space is cropped out.
I'd imagine it would have hard for a program to figure out where one frame starts and ends if they were all different sizes.


When looking at YuugenMagan the sprite moves the same way in game, the middle eye moving down and to the left a bit, it seems to do a great job.

Not to step on any toes, but I made a little script using imagemagick to automate this. It doesn't make any of the fancy transitions between idle/attacking, but that could be easily done.

Once again the power of coding saves the day! I was about a quarter of the way done. I noticed all the normal gifs are all 128x128, why is that?
