Oh, you did an astounding research, I need to REALLY thank you for your help and of course the creators of tools and the DPSS, you cleared my doubts so far :D.
I'm going to give it a try, going to hack FR and later may be do another edition based on Emerald. This hack as you said should be distinguished from others, and this is the idea, I was thinking to use some 1.8 types and at least one of my invention "light" (I need to know what type should replace to put light lol), some light-type may be the three mischievous fairies since I heard they manipulate light, but I need to find more to add this new type.
About evolutions I need to think it or simply use the classic 1.8 types using shards, but if I use shards they'll may be only acquirable like in the PP Emerald (getting UFOs instead of buying them and the place to get shards is only accessible after getting certain HM). Of course new areas will appear as well as I learn of this, I was planning on add Gensokyo based on the map that A. Sanae used for his/her hack (my hack won't be a remake of Another World though) or just try to add another "pok-original" region (Hoenn/Johto).
I'm a novice but putting effort on it a great work will be released, I think so :).

Days ago I said that I want to do my own Touhoumon but featured (no competition with others intended), I'm needing of some help for creating a great hack with your help, I'll put the forum on the credits for thank everyone that helped me on progressing.

Right, I'm now starting to extract the sprites of the japanese game Touhoumon and I want to know if I'm doing the sprite ripping well, here I screen of what I'm doing now:

As you can see I'm extracting all puppets sprites, I'm doing this well or I need to do some other things? later, how I can put them on the FR ROM?. I'm also going to replace the items and puppets menu pokeballs by miko orbs as well.

Also I have some shorter questions:
  • How do I can add this DPSS system?: Yeah, I'm going to add this system (the type split system).
  • Replacing type names and colors?: I want to replace the puppets/moves names like other games, you know (Fight>Dream, Poison>Miasma, etc.) and changing the colors of these type icons.
  • Editing texts?: I don't want to left any pokmon reference on a dialog or something.
  • Edit move names, effects, etc.?: Some originality should be on my project, for that like in AW/WL there are some character spell moves like Superego or HellsTokamak, so I'm going to replace/add some moves by spells and main character weapons.

That are all my doubts for now, some more may appear later but now focused on this :3. Thanks for the help---

Oh great!!, I have this game but I wasn't able to play the demo 2 due to a instant APPCRASH error in a window mentioning the RGSS Player, so, once I opened the main game executable automatically appears the said window saying that the RGSS Player don't response and then it closes. You know (or someone else) how to fix that?.
Also thank you a lot for releasing another demo :D. Downloading and going to test it if this APPCRASH doesn't appear again.

Hmm, sounds good, I don't know what characters will appear though. From my pointside of view I suggest use emerald or ruby because as I know there are more THmons of Fire Red  than Emerald, Ruby or other editions but you may want pick FR (I don't play often E or R hacks so personally I'll may prefer FR because of certain places I like (Sevii Islands and a few others)).
Also if you need beta testers I want to be one.
Ah yes, two more:
> Replace the musics: for that I saw on a hack credits some tools that may help: Midi2GBA (I think this is the tool name that lets you convert MID to the GBA music format GSF) and Anvil Studio (for create MIDs), I didn't used them but you may be interested on try them.
> Add areas: As well new places or implementing the other regions may be a good idea for make the game more longer to end.

Just curios if I start playing this hack now will I be able to use my sav for later releases?
I think it may work since the base ROM will remain the same, but there are posibilities that the SAV may not work on a newer release for some reasons like possible changes on the dex or other things, rendering the SAV unusable and making you start all over again. I don't know what will happen but that's it, we need to wait---

Ah yeah!, one use of this is the ability to avoid or prevent of being damaged by a counterattack of Mirror Coat or Counter (for that and may be my posible hack I asked about the types, anyway I need to learn about the types split by myself). Thank you :D.

Most of the features you mentioned are included in Touhoumon 1.8 Enhanced.
Oh yes, that's right, and I was thinking on use other puppet/move types without this split system, or may be with it (I need to learn about that after all). I still have much to learn.

It's great to hear that there are new Touhoumon hacks in development, now I have a question about this hack, two for be precise: how do I patch it? (I know how to use Lunar IPS, the problem is that I can't stand the patches names and I don't know which PKMN ROM I must use in order to apply the patch. How do I know if there's a new version?. That's it, thank you.

The patch is updated on a rolling-release basis. This means that since the developer is continuously working on it, a new update could be posted as soon as tomorrow.

The patch you're looking for is 風タイプから電気を分離 . As of the time of posting, it's version 1.876.
In addition, patch this (風タイプから電気を分離パッチにジョウト地方を追加) AFTER the first one if you want to play the game with Johto Postgame. There are some other patches inside the .zip as well (like optional DDC characters).

Those two are to be patched to a vanilla Japanese Pokemon Fire Red ROM. Personally, I use Lunar IPS, but you can also use WinIPS. If the names are a problem, just change them.

The files has a corrupted-like name that makes no sense except for the one that has the version of the game, you know about what's the content of each IPS patch? (the main patch "^CvdC ver1.876.ips" I know that it is by seeing so no problem with this one.). Again, thanks.

Yes, I heard about that, but the problem is on the moves/puppet types, I don't know which ones are specials and not, except for FIRE, WATER and ICE that are some classic special types. Later, I don't know about for ex. "faith", "dream", "wind" (it's originally a SP.ATK type but it may changed), etc.

Oh yes, a great dream that I had is do a Touhoumon game, but more complete than some other games.
Indeed, I want to do my own full-featured hack of 1.8x series but the only thing I know about PKMN hacking is edit item names and their descriptions but nothing about what's called "re-point", replace the sprites, music, edit worlds and areas, etc.
So, I think that I must find some tutorials related to the hacking tools that I have and do my best, or help me with something.
Some features that I have on mind are:
  • All the characters from HRtP to DDC. I'll may exclude fan characters because I don't like them.
  • Some Touhou themes, enough to replace all original PKMN ones.
  • I think I should add Gensokyo as well but I need to be creative on the history I think.
  • Sevii Islands: I like the events of the place and how the island designs looks, so I'll keep this one.
  • The move/puppets types of 1.8x series but I need to know which ones are specials and non-specials.
  • Playable characters: like most of the THmon editions Renko and Mary.
  • Well, I'm out of ideas so you can comment something.
Another problem is the high-school, it may keep me busy, inactive in internet and as well on my hacking introduction and practice, that's all.

Ah yes, you may know about that but you should replace the original playable trainers by Renko and Mary, that's it. Nice work!.

  • What are these letters P/ and S/ that are at the beggining of the moves descriptions?.
  • Which types are SP.ATK and ATK? I must know about that, I have only a little idea of some specials and physical/normal attacks. I believe this is the same for the PP Enhanced right?

The emerald hack is finishedish as far as I know

P = physical, S = Special

Atk = Attack, SpAtk = Special Attack
1) Really? Because the official page says that it was updates about 6 months ago.
2) Ahh I see, I started to suppose that these are the meanings of the words just after posting, thanks! :D.
3) Oh sorry, I didn't explain well the answer, I'm talking about what types are specials and non-specials (FAITH, DREAM, HEART and others).
