Translation project / Re: Full Translation for Shard of Dreams

Well done!

Thank you for getting this posted, Derx. I had meant to post my version, but it felt incomplete, and I wasn't sure when was going to be the right time to post it.

If no one else has it done, I will be purchasing the game come Friday from the site, and will do my best to take picture by picture steps if no one else does it prior to me. Fair warning, I suck at writing "How to" guides though, but I'm sure people around here will correct it on me haha.

A picture guide on how to buy the game would be splendid. I personally intend to buy the game, and a guide by someone who knows how to traverse through the language barrier would be very welcomed.

The assets have bugs, doesn't show puppet sprites and background battle

Not a bug. The only assets that were being distributed were the ones requiring translation.

Down, Up, Down, Left, Left, Right, Up, Right, Up, Down.

The Whirlwind Skill Card should be there as well.

Aww, Sukimap would have been such a good pun.

The problem is that while it is a cute pun, it is a pun in Japanese, for people who speak and understand Japanese.

Players who intend to install the English patch are likely to not understand the joke behind "Sukimap" and may get a bit of a chuckle from the equally clever "Gap Map" instead.

At the time of writing...

Gap Map: 24
Sukimap: 8
Suki-map: 1

Derxwna: Gap Map already won
Derxwna: I'm calling the poll over

That's all, folks!

Using the SkillData.csv in the OP I get this when hovering over Orange's Sound-typed Superpower move. I don't know what could be causing the game to read it as an unused skill.

I disagree.

If it doesn't fit, weh should try to abbreviate if possible (like in all the Rockman Battle network/Ryuusei series)
especially when the names are derived from official spell cards and since the wiki spell card are more or less the official one, we should not to grant to much liberty.

I'm aware that sometimes it simply isn't possible, due to Kanji VS RomanLetters.
And please don't use pokemon-skill-names, first of all, they are bad translation, second then we would put focaslens in a different light, like they just simply copied pokemon moves.

Rest assured we will not be using Pokemon move names in translation. I'm all for abbreviation when absolutely essential, like what you said regarding official spell cards. However, I agree with Stuffman in the sense that we should not use anything that will outright confuse even the average touhou/pokemon fan.

Are you sure you're not running the Demo. It was exactly like this in the Demo.

If I had to guess, it may be blocked intentionally. As in, the romhacker had no intention of finishing Trainer Tower. I haven't played PPE (or Fire Red) in a long time so if someone can confirm or deny that I know what I'm talking about, that'd be awesome.

The map looks great. I don't recall anyone else talking about having plans to work on or is working on maps.

In regards to your problem with where to go next, I think they meant to go try looking behind the Shrine. Where there was a giant Suika blocking your path before, there shouldn't be anything there now.

TM 10 is in Muenzuka according to Shoddy Touhoumon user Nook. That should be all of them; we just need wait for Doesnt to update the OP, either before or after he finds them himself, and we can probably look at getting these on the wiki.

We are only missing the location for TM 10. If anyone has found it and actually remembers where they found it, please speak up!

Shoddy Touhoumon Info/Discussion / Re: Newer-new mons?
« on: December 31, 2014, 01:03:01 AM »
In the client update there's the DDC mons. But when I checked the folder for the sprites I saw that there was a new set of TD sprites after them, but there's no mons in the team builder that use them.

Are they just there for mons that're currently in the works (so that everyone just has to do a client update when appropriate and not have to worry about a sprite update) or?

Try deleting and re-downloading the sprite package if you see question marks in place of the new puppets.

This is amazing. There's nothing for me to say other than thank you for the information.
