She's trying to sell you an item that makes you happy.

Of course, it sounds like a scam as usual.

That definitely is weird...

It does feel like a bug.

Hmm, what does Kosuzu say? Like, what books does she have?

It's called 重たい甲冑 with 持たせると相手より後に行動する (move after the opponent) as the description right?
It's sold as a 1500 Yen item in Rinnosuke's shop.

こだわり means good, or that's what the translator said anyway.

I just got it from Pokemon, so I assumed the same here. I know it's not exactly the same though hahaha (こだわりスカーフ = Choice Scarf in English)

Some of those Power-Puppets may be bringing こだわりベルト or Choice(?) Belt which increases the Puppet's speed by 50% (is it 50% in this game?) but in exchange they are locked into one skill until they switch.

You can try using these items if you aren't already. These items can be bought at the Kirisame Shop in the Human Village for 250000 each.
こだわりリング: Increases focus skills but cannot use another skill.
こだわりピアス: Increases spread skills but cannot use another skill.
こだわりベルト: Increases speed but cannot use another skill.
金のかんずし: Increases focus defense but cannot use change (non-attack) skills.
銀のかんずし: Increases spread defense but cannot use change skills.

My personal favorite item is 藁人形 or Straw Doll, which works like Life Orb in Pokemon (your damage is increased, but at the end of the turn after every successful attack you lose 10% of your HP).

I'm not exactly sure if those are correct hahahaha

In the base game, all I did was use this team:
Starter, PAya, Filler, Filler, Filler, Filler

For the starter, I don't really choose any one particular mon for battling, I just choose one mon that I like. Then I just use it until I get PAya. Then PAya all the way.

I did encounter some hardships in a recent game I did, when I chose Toyohime, who was weak to Nature (for 4x) and quite slow as well. So I caught Keine and Daiyousei, who surprisingly did carry their own weight in the team.

In the expansion, this is the team I used (until the post-game final boss):
Starter (Junko), Filler (Special mention: Sumireko), Filler, Filler, Filler, Filler

I barely used the other mons, the only special mention was SSumireko, who I used every now and then when Junko couldn't defeat a mon or got defeated herself.

Then I finally changed to this team, after getting my old mons back (For the final Shinki battle):
PAya, PElly, SYumeko, SMiko, PToyohime, SYoumu

Just a team I made on the fly with the mons I got from the base game. Managed to defeat the final boss with it, so it's okay.

Came to that conclusion as well.

At least there's something to do in that case.

20:00 here where I live, awesome.

Can't wait for the broadcast! I kind of want to restart my game when it comes out, but I just did that a few days ago...

Any sample sets?
Like I was wondering if people run specialized sets for the game now, instead of the usual 64/64/2 sets.

Touhou Puppet Dance Performance / Re: Elite 4 Rematch farming
« on: December 20, 2015, 01:17:12 PM »
The way I farm is like this:

I just use PAya with this moveset and spread:
Ability: Salvo
EVs: 2 HP / 64 FAtk / 64 Spe
Red Emblem
- Spark Javelin (for Futo in particular, Electric)
- Spirit Stone Jig (the 5x Earth move)
- Twister (the 5x Wind move)
- Rush Attack (was it Rush Attack? anyway, it's the 5x SpAtk Fighting move)

Generally, Red Emblem PAya should be around Lv.90+. This way she can outspeed everything. There's no need to use items either, as she'll just one-hit KO everything (unless you get hit with the occasional critical hit, or you're under-leveled).

For farming levels, all I do is:
Yuki -> Mai -> Yumeko -> Gap to Makai -> Repeat

Only Kokoro can withstand a hit from PAya with that moveset, and iirc PAya can withstand a hit from Kokoro as well, so it's okay.

And there's no need to fight Shinki, as PAya can't solo it. Unless you're farming some money off of her.

Wow. I didn't know Aya was that good. Gotta try that.

I've always been using DKokoro to defeat anyone and anything, using Moody + Happiness Dance, then stacking the stats.
Probably slow, but it made me get past the first Elite Four run because my DPatchy kept getting wrecked.

I know that I am not the only one wondering this, but which puppets have Slicing Wind (raises Speed and SpAtk one stage each) or Imposing Majesty (raises Speed and FoAtk one stage each)?

I only know of one puppet with Imposing Majesty (Power Murasa), and she works decently well as late-game cleanup/sweeper, especially with her Stream Form ability. I'm sure there are other hidden gems like her in the puppet list.

Doing a short search in the wiki, it seems these mons have them. (Unless some changes have been made)

Imposing Majesty:
- PMeira
- PYumeko
- AKosuzu
- PKagerou
- PMurasa (as you said)
- SMomiji

Slicing Wind:
- PKurumi
- PYuki
- SRemilia
- AKosuzu
- DMystia

In the long run I guess I can see it doing well.

Oh wow I didn't know there was Trick Room in this game. Time to make a team around it.

And Magic/Wonder Room seems useless.
