Is the patched dat folder fine?

I mean, I guess I could try patching the game again but would the save file still work?

Save data should work regardless (make a back up just incase though)

It indeed work, but now it's back to how it previously was displaying combat dialogue untranslated :/

EDIT: Nevermind, I found what I was doing wrong, I renamed the wrong file during translation...

I feel dumb right now.

1#: Did you install the game and are running it with system locale set to Japanese? If not then that might causing those issues.

2#: if that doesn't work and/or you're running Windows 10 I may have another solution tucked away somewhere.

I have Language for non-Unicode programs set as Japanese, I did it before doing anything about installing the game.

Also yeah, I do have Windows 10.

So I patched the game about 2 days ago and as I was playing it I noticed some elements were still in Japanese, specifically the combat dialogue came up partially untranslated. I did make the changes that were listed in the translation thread before installing so I was a little confused, I really wanted to keep playing so I didn't pay much attention to it. However, today the game does display the combat dialogue in English, but the information on my puppets is partially unreadable, and item descriptions don't fit into their boxes.

It looks like this for all my puppets. The fonts also looks different from when I first patched it.
