SkillData.csv

This one probably needs some work, but I think I've done about as much as I"m going to on it.

DollCaption.csv

Will begin on the 131 and above files in talk tomorrow.

EDIT: Massive underestimation of character limit has been fixed. Also typos.

Well this topic is kind of pointless now that I can make queries in the IRC, so I'll just use it for my own organizational purposes I guess.

First I'll be consolidating/organizing the image assets.

Appears to be a Reincarnation tutorial. On hold till more of the game is done so I can just take necessary screen shots and/or cut paste images from the actual game.

Translation project / Alternative Form of Communication
« on: January 04, 2015, 11:22:52 PM »
I realize that for some time the people here have been using the Shoddy chat for communication, but it's frustrating for someone like me who does not have immediate access to it to be aware of what's going on aside from the forum; which is apparently behind and missing a nice chunk of said communication, if recent posts are to be believed.

I work, and while at work I can do a lot of translating because of down time, but all of it is done on my phone due to work computers being completely locked down. Unless there's a method to run Shoddy on Android devices, that means I'm effectively cut off from communications for extended periods of time. Even several days ago, when I attempted to get Shoddy running on my computer, it was less than cooperative and I will not have a chance to try again until tomorrow afternoon (5 pm EST).

tl;dr is there not a more mainstream alternative that would work for everyone working on this? IRC? AIM? MSN? Something?

Barring that, if there isn't a project lead, there probably should be, and they should articulate in less uncertain terms what people are doing what on the public forums where information can be accessed by everyone without the need of an outside program. The Statement of Affairs is a good step, but an unnecessarily small one that didn't really say much at its core aside from "We're making good pace, get on the Shoddy chat." Which, you know, I can't.

And I apologize if this sounds overly testy, but you can imagine my frustration at the moment, stuck at work with this as my only outlet of communication.

Define "confuse", with examples if you please. I agree with Tyraxx 100% on this point, I'd rather liberties be taken only if all other options for accurate translation are exhausted.

I mean, I'll get to them eventually (at this pace, it'll probably be the better part of next week, but that's it).

Probably better to spend your efforts on the .csv's, seeing as I have little interest in working on those myself. I will if it's the only thing left to do, but...

Commas, commas, commas... and two complete line changes? Weird. Not files I'd gotten to yet, so there's that.

Once again, cannot overstate my appreciation for these Nutzer.

Most of them are in 000, actually. The generic lines, I mean. So I've finished with them if you really must have them.

Oddly, I've gotten up to 074 without running into much in the way of minor character dialogue (like all the NPCs in the village). I'm just waiting for the moment when I open the folder that has all of them in it. Just looked because I was curious: all of the minor NPC dialogues are in the 500 folders. I.e. they'll be the last thing I get to.

Waiting warmly for Nutzer update. So far, the only script changes have been typo and grammatical fixes which probably wouldn't have affected us any, but...

Should bring the Mu thing up in the terminology topic, me-thinks. I keep forgetting to, even though I'm not a huge fan of it either.

Oh, you're right. It does look like that one wasn't finished.

Well the item thing calls it the Puppet Book, so I think Book will work there. This is a work weekend for me though, so I won't have time to fix it till Monday, at the earliest.

And I was working off the checklist in the main topic, so I believe you're right about those images being overlooked Phantasm. Good catch. Could someone take a look and get a running list of things the other list is missing and/or aren't actually complete? I'll get to them on my next day off (assuming busy bees like shurcle don't beat me to them). I need to make some edits to get stuff in line with naming conventions anyway.

...Odd. Apparently those images that were added in 1.02 were then removed for 1.03. Oh well.

And yes, I agree Nutzer, this helps a lot. Hope you keep 'em coming.

Meh. I know I originally put forth that suggestion myself, but then I realized I'm picky about my translations and could use the practice anyway, so I don't personally mind doubling up my own efforts. It's not like they take that long anyway. I've only been working off an on for a couple of hours and am up to about halfway through the first Sanae dialogue, so...

I'm working on these as well at the moment, but there may be some item name inconsistencies, as I don't have access to the item list at the moment.

I probably won't be dumping my translations till I'm finished with them all, but don't worry, they will be finished! I have plenty of tine to work on these at work.
