Much appreciated! You never know when little changes like these can affect a battle, after all.

Touhou Puppet Dance Performance / V1.10 of Shard of Dreams

So apparently this was just released recently, and since I can't read moonspeak, would anyone be kind enough to tell me what is new? Because this sounds like it was a big update.

Dream world is accessible as soon as you get the Cut Woodcutter Doll, and have a Butterfly Dream Pill on you, which you should have picked up at least one beforehand. (Not sure where...) You can also get more by buying them from Reisen at the Human Village.

Can confirm Seiran and Ringo being behind the Moriya Shrine. I caught a Ringo there my first time through the game.

Also, there are some minor differences with wild puppets and locations, though nothing major. Early game, you can find Lily White on Route 1, and you can find Raiko on the road to the Myouren Temple. Not to mention the hidden puppets in conspicuous barrels, pots, and wells that can't naturally be found that early. Also, once you get Nitori's boat you can go back to the Hakurei Shrine to access a grassy patch found there to get Reimu and such earlier on than usual.

That's everything I can think of for now.

Youmu was my very first choice when the game first came out, who later became a Power Youmu. For SoD, a chose Alice, who I turned into an Extra Alice.

Did some checking after the post game, and seems I am half right. It seems the wedding dress is only available to the puppets that you chose as a starter, including the one from your transferred save from the old game. These puppets seems to be marked by a little heart icon at the bottom left of their sprite.

Useful indeed! Thanks for the information. That would have been bugging me for a while.

Does anyone know what Clownpiece does to you when you talk to her after the Hell event?

I have to agree with that one, it's an epic battle. Mine personally so far is probably the Mima battle though, purely for the fact that 'The Grimoire of Alice' plays during the fight, which is a nice surprise. It gives the whole battle a sense of 'awesome'.

I believe it opens after you have a scuffle with Mokou.

Now my question: Does the wedding dress outfit only become available for your starter, or for very specific puppets?

It's a new, separate game (which means you need to install it in a different folder) that requires you to have the first game installed (it will refuse to open if it can't find the folder for that game). You can import your cleared save file from the previous game, but your progress won't be kept -- if I understood the manual correctly, you'll get something similar to the save import feature from B2W2, where you get a few flashbacks and new events if you give it a save file. It also looks like you get something new for your starter (regardless of it you choose the same one or not) and you keep your boxes as well? Google Translate wasn't too clear on that matter.
Can anyone verify this? I've never played B2W2 myself, so I can't really follow what is going on. My main concern is if these new events will overlap with anything that would happen if you played without a previous save. Just don't want to miss anything, y'know?

I want to buy the expansion badly, but I don't understand a thing of what I'm doing on Melonbooks. Any advice?

When you said you met Kasen, did you mean you did her errand, or just talked to her once? Because now there are a handful of items that need to be found for her in unique places. There's a guide on this forum somewhere that will tell you where to find them.

Other than that, there are a few post-game stuff to be done. You can go around and re-battle everyone, for instance. They have stronger puppets than before you face Makai. Also, some other characters will battle you now, like Nitori and Alice. As a bonus, you can battle everyone an extra time after you beat Makai again, for as many times as you want to.

Also, the Ice Cave in the middle of Misty Lake is fully accessible now, where you can collect unique items for Patchouli's Reincarnation Table. Also, you can fight Cirno and Letty there too.

Finally, you can use the Gap Map to go to Yukari's place. This is where you can do Net Battles and such after you beat her and Ran.

I hope that this gives you plenty more to do in the game. :)

Not sure if this was common knowledge or not, but apparently you can rematch everyone in Gensokyo again after beating the Makai League a second time. Does that mean you can keep facing everyone endlessly by using Makai as a reset button? Cause I find this a decent alternative than refacing Makai again and again.
