In case anyone hasn't heard, twitch plays pokemon has decided to run a game of touhoumon and moemon side by side with the same inputs. It works in much the same way as the original run did but with more buttons and new mechanics.
We seem to be playing 1.8E for anyone who wants to know and are starting in just under 2 hours from when this post went up.

I was curious when that was gonna start. Gonna try and watch bits and pieces of it.
-
As someone who came in about 3 hours late, I have to wonder how they got different starters in both versions. (since sanae's in bulbasaur's position, and charmander's... charmander)
Still, I wish them luck! ...especially since they are now enduring early-game beast hell. =U

It's weirder because both games are at different spots, so perhaps there's an input delay or some sort of loophole happened.

I'm pretty sure that there's considerable delay.
Right now I'm wondering something...
Did the streamer fix the evolution shards not working in enhanced? I'm assuming they didn't, but I know TPP has put in more time to fix things that have had less of an impact on the game. Not to mention that you can't cancel out stone evolutions, which gives an incentive to use them.

I know that when the games first started, Puppet Play was ahead by one text box during Oak's speech. Besides that, any other desync is probably a result from wiping out, or something.
-
The 1 text box caused some menu differences because 1 side a spammed into using the snes which in turn caused a text speed change. At that point they were desynced properly.
We're in viridian forest now at least.

8:30 in the morning where I live. They've made it out the forest, but at their current level I doubt they'll make it past Brock.
Party as of posting this:
- CSanae - Lv. 12
- CNazrin - Lv. 2
- CDaiyousei - Lv. 6
- CTokiko - Lv. 8
- CNazrin - Lv. 5
- CStar - Lv. 6
For reference, Brock's CSuika and CYuugi are Lv. 15 and Lv. 17, respectively.
On a side note, the very first time I played Enhanced (which was the very first time I got into Touhoumon; Purple wasn't finished then and Unnamed wasn't even a thought), I ended up getting a full team and grinded them all to Lv. 15
-
We beat Brock with a clutch quick attack on the last move possible by CTokiko after CSanae stomped through CSuika and CYuugi with nature power, only being stopped by karate chop crits. We are now on route 3.
Current team:
CSanae lvl 15
CNazrin - Lv. 2
CDaiyousei - Lv. 7
CTokiko - Lv. 12
CNazrin - Lv. 5
CStar - Lv. 6
With TPP's habits I expect Sanae to start pulling ahead soon though Tokiko may stay relevant if she gets good clean-up oppertunities, which is good as Sanae's our best shot at Misty and Surge.
EDIT: It seems whether we go to jhoto or not is in the air due to a glitch involving checkpoints not working properly. Does anyone here have a fix for that? (proof: http://www.reddit.com/live/uerqm64a940j/updates/d2172e46-f813-11e4-8873-0e7d3bf7865f)

Yeah, you don't go to Johto.
The only way to fix it is by modifying some scripts, but even then i'm just guessing. I have no idea if it's doable, and if it is, no idea how. My guess is Aichiya just copied the Nurse from other pokecenters and placed them in the Johto ones. I seriously wouldn't bother with Johto anyways, it's just a postgame gauntlet with 100 trainers and no real content outside of that.

8:40 in the morning where I live. It's Misty Time! Hope they're ready for the Teeter Dance-off...
Party as of posting this:
- CSanae - Lv. 23
- CSatori - Lv. 11
- CDaiyousei - Lv. 8
- CTokiko - Lv. 20
- CNazrin - Lv. 7
- CStar - Lv. 6
For reference, Misty's CKomachi and SKomachi are Lv. 21 and Lv. 24, respectively.
EDIT: Defeated Misty around 5:15 PM EDT with a Lv. 26 CSanae, but got rid of Nature Power for Rain Dance in the process. Would've been nice for ASanae, but no National Dex = No Shard Evos until Postgame. Nature Power wouldn't be useful again anyway until Giovanni...or the S.S. Anne where there's a horde of CMurasa.

If CSatori was level 20 or higher, then they could use my personal strategy and have it could trace Own Tempo, allowing it to not be affected by Teeter Dance while firing of Mirror Shots.
Of course, this is Twitch Plays Pokemon, so there's no way that would have happened. :(

I do have plans for Satori, she's an out to Sabrina and later rival fights but they needed daycare and thus needed to get past Rival (reason/ice coverage is nasty for us ATM) before the easier misty.
Nature power has had all it's uses BTW, twister as wind STAB and water pulse/surf will cover what is needed.

Morning update. Stuck in Yamame's fun zone! Not really ready for Surge's gym, but Tokiko seems to have won the evolution race.
Party as of posting this:
- CSanae - Lv. 28
- CMomiji - Lv. 13
- CDaiyousei - Lv. 10
- Tokiko - Lv. 29
- CNazrin - Lv. 7
- CStar - Lv. 7
Surge's levels range from 20 to 26. If they caught a CYuugi, she'll make short work of the gym being Lv. 29 in the wild for some reason (Dugtrio).
