On my first playthrough I chose Renko, but then I did another playthrough with Wriggle, and I think she's going to be my starter for all future playthroughs.

I let fivequestionmarks on IRC choose via ^randomteam3. First playthrough got me Sakuya (who I later made
Scizor Power Sakuya). Next run, I'll go with Miko (going for a Ten Desires Team). Fortunately, they don't change much between the original game and YnK.

Youmu was my very first choice when the game first came out, who later became a Power Youmu. For SoD, a chose Alice, who I turned into an Extra Alice.

In first game i choose Shinki.
Then second game in SOD I choose Letty.
I think she not good like other meta characters...
it's just personal favorite plus her ability that sound fun for me too.

I think I'll go with a Speed Rin as my starter. Not only is she one of the fastest Puppets in the game, but she gets stronger with each Puppet that she KOes, allowing her to gradually snowball into quite the threat. I also love her design.

I chose Utsuho, because she's my favorite. Turns out it was a great choice because Speed Utsuho.

First ever run, I picked Mugetsu.
Second, I chose Murasa.
For YnK, I went with Hecatia.
I regret none of them.

Shinki because she's my favorite character in Touhou, even tough she's from the PC-98 era which is not known most of the time.
