Hello!
I recently wanted to play the game again after having to reformat my pc (sadtimes), but upon trying to play it (after putting the english patch) I get the text problem, when trying to play the game on japanese locale I get this: http://puu.sh/lQ7Py/6dd6d53b87.png

anyone know the problem?

Try reinstalling the game while in japanese locale. That worked for me back when I first got the game.
